The therapy of neural nerve injuries that involve the disruption axonal pathways or tracts has taken a new dimension with development tissue engineering techniques. When peripheral injury (PNI), spinal cord (SCI), traumatic brain (TBI), neurodegenerative disease occur, intricate architecture undergoes alterations leading to growth inhibition and loss guidance through large distance. To improve limitations purely cell-based therapies, philosophy emerged. Efforts are being made produce an ideal scaffold based on synthetic natural polymers match exact biological mechanical properties tissue. Furthermore, combining several components (biomaterials, cells, molecules), regrowth is facilitated obtain functional recovery diseases. main objective this review investigate recent approaches applications approaches.
